There are a number of smart hotels outside of Fort Lauderdale International (FLL) Airport. Many of them promise free shuttle service to and from your flight.
As convenient as that might be, the best way to enjoy your trip is with a cheap FLL rental car. Dine out under brilliant weather conditions and palm trees, or rent a boat and take a tranquil afternoon on the water.
The Sheraton Ft. Lauderdale Airport Hotel
The Sheraton Ft. Lauderdale Airport Hotel is a 12 story facility filled with a hospitable and courtesy staff that will make sure your visit is memorable. Located a little over a mile outside the airport, they allow pets so the kids can bring Fido along. They also provide a daily free newspaper, pool, tennis, a bar and lounge, cable television, a restaurant, fitness center and spa, laundry and valet services. If it's a business trip, they have meeting accommodations for up to 1,000 people. There are lots of cheap FLL car rental agencies around so you can easily get to some of the many destination fun spots in the area.

The Holiday Inn Fort Lauderdale Airport is an excellent spot for peace and relaxation. It's three miles outside the airport and four miles from the city. The rooms are stunning, roomy with oversized beds and wonderful views on all sides. Partake of the pool with its waterfall or spend the day shopping and dining.
