Orlando International Airport Transportation & Parking

Car Rentals

There are lots of ways to get to and from the airport. Going to one of the cheap MCO car rental agencies and renting a cheap MCO car is a great way to go. The usual major companies are located within the airport in both Terminals A and B on Level 1 but you'll usually get a much better deal by going to one of the cheaper MCO Independent car rental agencies located off-airport. They may be close by. They can afford to be cheaper because they don't have to pay expensive airport fees.

These agencies, of which Continental Rent A Car, Signature Rent-A-Car, Global Rent A Car of South Florida, American Car Rental are a few are independent agencies. All offer airport pickup and delivery. Just remember to bring the agency's phone number, so you can call for them to get you while waiting for your luggage. You can find them all at Orlando International page on our website, along with customer reviews and rates.

Other Transportation Choices

Bus

If you need to pick-up your cheap MCO car rental downtown, there are lots of other ways to get there. Convenient bus service leaves for downtown Orlando every 30 minutes. It is operated by the public transportation system called Lynx. This system also goes to Walt Disney World with the trip taking about 75 minutes. You can catch the Lynx bus at Terminal A on the Ground Transportation Level (Level 1).

Taxi Cabs

If you've got too much luggage for the bus or want to get to your destination faster, taxis are a good option. There are a few companies that service the airport and they can be found on Level 1 at the Main Terminal on both the A and B sides. Taxi fares from the airport are regulated by the City of Orlando which requires fares to be determined by a taxi meter. It does not authorize flat fares.

Shuttle Services

Numerous free shuttles travel between the terminals and the airport hotels. Longer trips can be made using Mears Transportation shared shuttle service. Their vans can be located at the A and B sides of the Main Terminal on Level 1. Fares are charged per person with separate round-trip and children's rates.

Parking

Orlando International Airport offers numerous parking options ranging from a free Cell Phone Lot which is available for people waiting to pick up arriving passengers to Valet Parking. Here, for an additional fee, you can have your car detailed.

Economy parking is available in both South Park Place (red) and North Park Place (blue). Free shuttles operate from these lots to both Terminals A and B approximately every 10 minutes 24/7. These lots are uncovered but are fenced and patrolled by the Orlando Police Department - Airport Division.

Terminal Garage and Top Parking are for short-term or long-term parking needs and are both within easy walking distance of the Main Terminal. If, however, your vehicle is higher than 7'0" DON'T try and park it here!
