Visit the Lower East Side Tenement Museum National Historic Site - it is the past home to more than 7,000 immigrants between 1863 and 1935. The museum offers exhibits and tours of the building, as well as plays representing the immigrant life in these times. The museum is located at 90 Orchard Street.

Take your favorite method of transportation to the city and visit the United State's best park, Central Park. It is located just 8 miles from the East Side of New York. Don't forget to visit the infamous Brooklyn Bridge while in East New York. The Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the world, and connects the boroughs of the city. There are six-lanes for cars, as well as a walkway for people to tour the bridge.
