Cheap Car Rentals at Honolulu International
Honolulu International Airport is one of the most beautiful in the world. HNL covers over 4,250 acres of land. There are three terminals and five concourses at the airport. Diamon Head, Central, Ewa Concourses, and the Interisland and Commuter Terminals which must be accessed via the provided shuttle buses. There are 47 gates among these concourses. After passing security, travelers are provided free transportation between each of the terminals on the third level of the overseas terminal for trips to the Ewa or Diamond Head Concourses. The airport is located at 300 Rodgers Boulevard, which is four miles from the downtown area of Honolulu.
Customs must be passed when arriving or departing the airport. Travelers should arrive at least 2 hours prior to their flight departure time in order to proceed through these screenings. Persons with disabilities can easily maneuver through the airport, and any needed accommodations can be provided by the airport personnel.
There are a variety of transportation options available to travelers heading to or from the airport. Those options include shuttle, taxi, rental car, and bus. An island-wide bus system can provide transportation for a small fee, as can the many taxi-cabs servicing the airport. Buses depart the airport on the second level roadway, with signs posted. Catch a taxi cab from the baggage claim terminal areas. The airport offers its own shuttle service, as do many of the nearby hotels. Travelers may also choose to use a rental car to get around the island. Using a rental car is the most convenient and cost-effective way to get anywhere you need to go.
