AAMCAR Car Rental is my regular 'go-to' business whenever I am in need of a rental car. I have been a customer for a number of years and have always had a very positive experience. It is extremely convenient in that I walk 2 blocks from my apartment to the AAMCAR location on 96th st.
I rented a Cherry Red Toyota Camry and the state of the car was poor. I had difficulty in gearing it - it's automatic!, the right back seat belts did not work properly, it was full of scratches, the seats were stained... Well, it seemed a (run out) family car and not a rental, but it worked properly.
The vehicle was badly in need of maintenance and I did not feel safe driving it. I will not rent from this agency again.
I like AAMCAR a lot. It is the main rental agency I use. Check in was very pleasant and efficient, as always. Only concern was that I had to wait longer than I expected for the car. It had just been returned and I waited until it was unloaded and they quickly cleaned it out and got it ready for me.
the car's engine sounded labored when the car waS GOING OVER 45. Other then that, everything was great joe Zuckertman
Good rental. Happy w/ experience.
Generally very good and helpful staff. One problem I had and have had previously with my rental from AAMCAR is the strong detergent or spray that is used to clean the car. I find the smell overpowering and need to drive with the windows open for some time before the smell goes away. Other than that it was great.
