I've been renting from Aamcar for about 35 years! They are warm, friendly, work quickly, always try to help you out with special requests. The only thing I would like is some kind of EZ check in for regular customers, no paperwork. But I love this co. and these people!
Everything about the service was good.....The car was dirty. for a full size it wasn't "full".....it was red, and it had NJ plates. For a car rented in NY, I am not sure that is legal!

I use this locations occassionally and overall the cars are decent. I feel like they could maintained a little better (e.g. tire pressure, wheel alignment) but overall they're safe. This last rental by far was the best vechile I rented, granted the vechile was a month old.
I had to cancel my reservation, which was handled promply and courteously.

We love AAMCAR. It feels like we rent in a small town, as the people behind the counter are always super friendly and start to recognize our family. They also provide great value for the money for a Manhattan car rental agency. So happy we have AAMCAR close to us.
I was a little bit annoyed by the 250-mile radius where the company "operates". If you want to drive just a little outside that area, you have to pay far more and negotiate.
