The car needed a bit of tuning and was a little scruffier than a rental from one of the big companies might have been, but this was more than made up for by the convenience, cost, and pleasantness offered by AAMCAR. This is a trade-off I will always make when given the choice.

The service was wonderful and it felt great to rent from an independent rental car company instead of the usual large corporations. The car was a bit old but otherwise clean and satisfactory. Renting in Manhattan is always pricey so I can't hold it against AAMCAR. I'll be renting from them again.
I've rented from here quite a few times over the past few months. My brother in law recommended AAMCAR and he was not wrong. The staff is always helpful and gives a thorough walk through of coverage and credit card coverage. They look over the car with you before you leave. And do a good walk through when it is returned. I will continue to rent from here.
