After we were promptly picked up at the airport we waited over a half hour to get the car. There was only one person at the office-answering phones and doing other paper work for other customers. Then he had to wash and clean out the car and vacuum it for us before we could get going. Also rubber trim on top of the vehicle was loose and kept hitting a window which was annoying and we couldn't get it to stay in place on the highway. Drop off was very good & took us promptly back to airport
It took over 40 minutes to be picked up. Upon arrival, I was told I needed to leave a $700 deposit to use my own insurance which was in no way communicated prior to my arrival. And was told it would take a week after I returned the car to get it back. Unbelievable. Even with purchasing the insurance, I was told I had to leave $100 worth of deposit and pay $24/day. The car was extremely stained front to back had scratches on every side and had a bad odor. I was very, very disappointed.
I didn't end up getting the rental as they tired to charge me for the insurance which I didn't need. I didn't have my insurance card and they wouldn't take a policy number or anything else they would only take the original insurance card. They wanted to charge me an extra $24/ day for the insurance. I waited 30 mins at the airport for the bus and had to wait on a long line before finding out about the insurance issue. I regret dealing with ACO and will never use them again.
Other than the agent from the airport the service was outstanding
Very upset over the quote and the follow through ended up renting from competitor down the road.
This was the worse experience I've had renting a car, and I've rented cars in many US states, and abroad: Mexico, Brazil, Spain, Portugal, Japan. When I arrived at the car place, there were so many hidden fees that it was gonna cost me almost $200 to rent an economic car for one day, what a ripoff. I ended up canceling my reservation there and looked for another rental place nearby. I will never deal with Aco again, also there's no signs at the rental office which makes it difficult to find.
I cancelled my reservation, because when I arrived I was told I would not have unlimited miles.
The employee didn't know the policy choices for fuel. I had to bring it up and show him. The company could make money with option a esp. At these gas prices. Only paid $18 for a fill up though. Upon return I and another renter r turned a shortly before 7 am and the office was closed. The cigarette lighter didn't work so i wasnt able to charge my GPS.
The car insurance is improperly handled as my insurance company is not on the list of accepted insurance companies. So, I was forced to take their insurance at $23 per day for BASIC. The staff, except the shuttle driver, are the most rude people and should be fired. When I returned the car, after waiting 15 minutes, the shuttle driver checked me in and told me to go inside. I banged on the office door to get the person to come out and help as the stinky trailer was packed with customers
The counter staff left a lot to be desired. Only one person at a time helping customers, and neither staff member acknowledging new customers when they arrived. No clear idea as to what the process was except for standing there and wait. The male at the desk had poor customer service.
