This car company is a compelte scam. They lure you in with fake rates and then put fees on top of everything, blowing your quote out of the water and claiming they have this written in the fine print "terms and conditions." This does not show anywhere. Extremely poor experience, I actually ended up taking the shuttle back to the airport and going to a different car company.
great value
The fact that I was charged $10/day to use my own insurance was a surprise and extremely disappointing. Also, seems to be a disadvantage for people who didn't know this and don't have insurance cards available. Fortunately, I was able to access my insurance cards on my phone.
TERRIBLE!!! I had to pay for a my own cab to their location because their shuttle bus was "broken". They would not let me deny the insurance even though my insurance covers rentals. They took a down payment from my Visa but then said it would not qualify as a credit card. I told them that I was not going to do business with them and I was told that I needed to leave the property because they chain off the parking lot at night. I guess they thought that would scare me into their highway robbery!!
ACO quoted me $23 a day for the car. At the bottom of the e-mail they hid a $10 a day charge for using my own insurance. I had the ability to pay for their insurance for even more a day. I did not have the option to drive without insurance, making it literally impossible to meet their advertised and quoted rate. ACO is terrible and I will never rent from a lesser known company again.
the amount I paid was disproportionate to the amount I reserved the car. Once i got insurance (not even full) the price jacked up to 4 times the amount of the rental reservation. INSANE! I rent cars all the time when travellign and this was a first... +FALSE ADVERTISEMENT for sure.
The man at check-in seemed to have no clue about what he was doing, very inexperienced. Also, there was a catch in the quote about the insurance which is unacceptable
My search for a one-day rental revealed a mini-van for $77. That seemed like good value until I discovered there was an energy surcharge, facility recovery fee, surcharge(?), vehicle license fee, concession fee, and sales tax that brought the cost up to $95.34. Then course, I was hit with an unmentioned $23 insurance fee when I picked up the car. Final total: $120.64
I have rented many cars around the world, and this is the most disingenuous marketing I have ever encountered. So disappointed.
Classic bait and switch with a not clearly disclosed $10/day recovery damage fee if you decline their insurance. When I explained I'd be reporting my experience to Kayak, they cancelled my reservation. I'd already agreed to pay the extra fee since I had little choice.
Terrible customer experience. Never again.
It was very easy and fast. The right size for an agency to be treated in a familiar environment. The clerk who attended me treat me and help me in a very nice way. Thank You!
