The rate quoted did not include the mandatory $23/day insurance. I do have renter's insurance as part of my own insurance policy but they require proof of this at the time of the rental, which I was unaware of and did not have access to. They also charge $10/day if you do use your own insurance policy. Moreover, I needed the car for an additional day. When I called to inquire about extending my rental, i was told that it would be $85 for the extra day. This ended up being a huge inconvenience.
Shuttle was not operating. had to catch a cab from airport. Initial rep was very rude. Brake light was on in vehicle. Nice discount however
Since I paid with a credit/debit card they said I had to purchase the additional $23 a day for their coverage. This was not on my confirmation email. Very upset with the company.
Two things that were big negatives with my experience. First of all, I got a great rate, however, the company charged me $10/day NOT to use their insurance. Yes, I was charged not to use their insurance. That is ludicrous. I do not get charged a fee for NOT wanting the onion on my burger.
Secondly when I left the rental center a light came on indicating that a tire had low pressure. Once I make a pitstop, I have a flat tire and see that there was a screw in the tire.
This was one of the worst rental car experiences I have ever had, and I have made it my goal to punish your company. The actions I intend to take are:
- Write bad reviews everywhere.
- Chargeback any charges that you make.
- Contact Kayak and inform them of your deceptive business.
You know the terrible things you're doing. Just stop, apologize, and try to reform. It's bait and switch and it's horrible. Read some of your online reviews. Try to understand why people are so angry at you
