I originally reserved the car in early July. A week before we were scheduled to arrive in SLC on Aug 19, I was informed that my reservation had been cancelled. With the help of David, he was able to re-instate. There was another mix-up on August 19, but David and a female agent (his wife, I think), were able to straighten it out. They were very nice to go above and beyond to get everything corrected. We were very satisfied with the outcome. We would definitely use this agency again.THANKS!
I reserved with Affordable more than a month before my trip, for high demand dates overlapping the solar eclipse. Just a few days before my travel, they called me and dumped my reservation. They claimed a computer glitch that somehow wasn't detected until now. So then I had to pay $100s more because of the higher demand. And conveniently, this company can probably get a lot more money over these dates than I reserved at. So I'd consider any reservation with Affordable to be very tentative.
I reserved a minivan or similar and was provided a Dodge Journey which may seat 6 but not nearly as comfortable or as roomy as the mini van we are accustomed too. There was no one to voice our displeasure with as the agency was closed and we had a 3 hour drive to Idaho Falls ahead of us with tired children and no room due to the smaller vehicle. I am waiting to see how much they charge my cc as there was a 200$ "deposit" added to their price which I have never seen with other rentals either.
The agency worked through a very tough weekend and preformed great.
I booked a mid-sized car as did my friend. We were given a Ford Focus and Fiesta, respectively. I don't see how these qualify as "mid-sized" cars. The Fiesta's driver seat rested totally against the back seat. We had 6 people in our party, each with at least 2 bags. The cars' small trunks held only ~4 bags, leaving us to put the remainder in the back seats with a passenger. We made it work but were really disappointed at the car sizes. Unfortunately, we arrived after-hours and could not upgrade.
Staff was very friendly and helpful
When I picked up the van the air pressure light was on, change oil message flashing, a serious valve knock in the engine. The van had over 57,000 miles on it. I paid for a serviceable vehicle, not a RENT A WRECK! Did I mention the left front brake caliper was clanging? The van was a real concern in terms of reliability!

Our rental with Affordable was flawless, easy and a pleasure. Our ride at the airport picked us up quickly. Our minivan was waiting for us. It was in great shape. Checking back in and getting back to the airport went very smoothly. We saved hundreds by renting with Affordable. We were very pleased with the service and the vehicle! Plus we arrived and departed after hours and had no problems at all.
Bad communication within the agency. They were surprised when I arrived.
