I was serviced immediately upon my arrival by the friendliest and helpful CSR. Gave wonderful directions and recommendations too. I will definitely rent from Alaska 4X4 again.
I couldn't access State Farm app because it was out of service, and even though I showed my policy number, I was told the expiration date was necessary. I understand she needed that info but I hope she was more proactive about suggesting other methods since it was out of my control. Or it would've been helpful to know ahead of time that this information would be requested. We were able to resolve this after we suggested using our credit card insurance. Car was great tho!
I reserved a rental and despite receiving a confirmation email of my reservation the day before flying in I called "just to make sure all was well". Lucky I did because when I called I was told there was nothing available and reservations should have been made months ago. We ended up using Uber and spent half the money the rental would have cost. Luckily we were in an area Uber was available or we would have been screwed. Big fat fail for this place in my book!
In the previous information, obtained from Expedia, I did not realize that external liavility insurance was required. This was not required of me by other car rental companies during this trip. Luckily, I had one and it fixed the problem.
