It was a total bait and switch scam. It didn’t help that the guy at the counter barely spoke English but the real problem was they never intended on honoring the rate and wouldn’t accept State Farm or USAA insurance. Total scam. I would rather walk on my hands than rent a car from this fly by night company.
Do not go to this place. This business is a fraudulent setup at multiple levels. First of all this is not located at MCO airport. Their shuttle service wont show up for hours. They don't honor their price. They have mandatory charges for pass purchase no matter if you use or not. Makes you buy their insurance. Does not have US website (its in Mexico) and does not have US phone number to contact. So poor that I am reporting this business to the office of attorney general FL.
It said they were at the airport, but they were not onsite. They did not answer the phone when I called- when I happened to see the shuttle and arrived at the offsite office, another family was also saying how they didn't answer the phone. They asked for so many personal insurance details. The rate was over $200 more than the website quote. When I showed them my email with the quote, they just repeated the higher price. I ended up leaving without a car. DO NOT rely on this company for a car.
It may not have been criminal but it sure was a bait and switch. You offered a rate of 140$ for 5 days and by the time the agent wes finished adding all the mandatory extras the rate was 850$ for days.
It is dishonest so dishonest for you to deceive people.
I will not rent a car from you and I will tell other to do the same
Never got my car. It was not located inside the MCO terminal as stated. There was no shuttle service. Nobody at the airport had heard of the agency before. I called the number on the reservation and it was invalid - it wasn't a U.S. phone number and was not active. Not even on "whats app", like stated. So after not being able to reach anyone or find out how to access the car I reserved, I was forced to spend hundreds of dollars on share rides, because it wouldn't let me cancel either.
I was never able to get my rental because 1) the rental that I booked via Kayak said pickup was "in terminal" (I have a screenshot to prove it) yet there was no America Car Rental agency in the MCO airport terminal, and 2) there was no shuttle bus listed on at the pickup point for all the off-terminal rental agencies, therefore there was NO WAY for me to pickup my rental car. This was a complete scam.
The fees were not accurate. I expected to pay $80 USD for the rental and Deposit fees. However renting a vehicle for 6 days and it being over $1,000 USD is crazy. Especially for the fact the vehicle kept alerting that doors were open even after closing them all over and over again. And the breaks were poorly maintained resulting in it being loud every time we pressed on the breaks.
