Cost was more than double rate presented, due to unethical, sneaky insurance costs added that were more than rental. Car reserves was "upgraded" to larger one in poor condition that broke down after 60 miles. Help with breakdown slow, had to eventually drive back to Cancun to get replacement (car randomly wouldn't start) despite visiting unhelpful office in Tulum. Re fb und offer after trouble not honored. Stay away, couldn't be a worse place to rent from, although all seem to do the ins scam.
Was quoted $127 for the rental, ended up being $430 after the insurance, none of this was mentioned at booking.
My booking of the Wrangler was demoted to a Compass. The excuse this time was that I was late, that's being late 5 minutes to the scheduled time of arrival. Doesn't stop there, they were going to charge me the rate of the Wrangler still!!
After hefty negotiations they gave me 10 dollars off the full rent of 3 days..Finally, the cherry on the Sunday, I returned the car with a half tank as I got it and shownon the checkout sheet, the valet//inspector reported it as quarter full. Never Again!
I had an offer of 75 USD for the Jeep Liberty, but arriving to the agency, they let me know that the price didn't include the insurance, and the original price of 75 USD went all he way up until 275. As you can see, the difference is huge and i decided to declined the price and change to a big agency with no surprises. I didn't rent the car with you at the end.
When I arrived they had no record of the rental even though I had a confirmation. So no worries won't do business with either going forward. Worst experience ever!
when I arrived to Cancun airport the office told me your reservation and name in the list but we don't have car !!!
and the employee told me their is one pay more than your reservation and we rent the car !!!!!!
The car was rented for 3 months, during which time the office from which we rented was apparently closed. We were not notified of it's closing and when we came to return the car, per the contract, there was a sign on the door stating that the office was perminently closed. No instructions were given on what to do with the car given the circumstances. Phone calls only told us to email questions. Strange that we were not contacted about the closing and provided new return information.
the price quoted was finally + insurance + insurance + something, so finally instead 695 USD it was 1300 USD. Without full insurance they want 7000 USD deposit. So finally we rented the car in AVIS.
Brakes weren't working and when we told the guy he said it cost to much to fix. Wipers weren't working for the rain! The person that help me out wanted me to get things we didn't need. I wasn't picked up in the airport until I had to call. The good thing was when we turn in the vehicle that the guy was nice and fas,t that was the best part of the whole service.
