Bait and switch. Rented an SUV was given a compact car. Provided proof of insurance coverage but was charge for insurance, poor choice won’t rent w/ them again and will tell others to avoid them.
They need more representative to give a better customer service. The air conditioning wasn’t working properly. The kids and adults were very uncomfortable. Never seen a $2500 deductible required for rental. It took them almost an hour to check me in and check me out. It was the worst experience I ever had renting a car.
My husband picked up our rental while I was on a separate flight and landing 30 min after. He did not have the declarations page on him but as soon as I landed (30 min after him picking up the car) I emailed and called the company. No one ever responded to either message and they still charged us $100 for insurance that was not needed. The person helping my husband was zero help nor knowledgeable.
Worker at location lied to me and told me I couldn’t rent the car unless I purchased the insurance from him. I had insurance through my own company. Absolutely terrible customer service and what he did was illegal. I will be pursuing legal action to recover the money the company stole from me.
You promptly charged $2500.00 to my credit card but it takes 5 days, possibly more, to take it off. That needs to be shortened. I had to pay interest on that amount.
I had a wonderful experience renting a car from Americars. The booking process was quick and easy, and when I arrived, the staff was friendly and professional. They provided all the necessary details about the car, which was in excellent condition—clean, well-maintained, and a pleasure to drive.
