Better than large chain companies
I called more than 10 times until someone finally picked up my call to let them know I was ready to be picked up. I was about to go to another car rental. Other than that I was very satisfied!!
I usually rent from Charlie's after they helped me out of a jam with another company that did not honor my reservation. Two convenient locations in the San Juan area.
The only issue I had was that the car had a check engine light that came up while I waa away in Isabela. Thus, cutting my trip short. I had to go back to Carolina, called Charlie Rental and they immediately exchanged my car. Thank you!
The only issue I had at the time was that the car fueling was a lot cheaper if I had filled up the tank myself than rather paying the fee they offered me at the time I picked up the car, and when I returned the car the tank was half full. It was my bad for going ahead and accepting the service, will not do it again for sure.
car we rented was not available only, tried to rent a full size, only car available was super compact. A bit tight with 5 people but we made it work. Staff was helpful on resolving the issue.
I was concerned about renting a car in San Juan from a "smaller" rental agency but I have rented from Charlie in Aguadilla before several times without issues, so I took a chance. Everything went smoothly and the agents were courteous and helpful. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them.
The service was great when we got in the gave us a car quickly and it was very nice. Will definitely rent here again.
I have been renting from Charlie's for about 15yrs. An FYI maybe they should come up with a reward program.
