My car rental experience with Charlie Car Rental was very satisfying. Their rental prices were the best in Puerto Rico and the rental process was fast and easy. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, and will rent from them again if we vacation again in beautiful Puerto Rico.
Worst experience. Hidden fees that were being charged 2 weeks after my rental experience. When I called to clarify they were SO rude to me on the phone, did not acknowledge anything. Hung up on the phone on me. I called back and they didn't answer. Very rude and bad service. Tons of hidden fees. Won't be renting from them again, highly suggest everyone avoid them.
I've been renting from Charlie for more than a decade and have always been very satisfied, including the time that I was a victim of a rock throwing incident that caused small damage to the car.
Vehicle had dangerously effective right front tire with uneven wear. Rim was bent inside also creating dangerous condition. Lessor replaced with a second vehicle with prior body damage and upon returning second vehicle, agent tried to suggest that the prior damage was caused by me.
No apology given by agent for the inconvenience of having to return first vehicle nor for my out of pocket expenses repairing their tire. They must inspect their cars with more care, especially safety items.
