Staff pushed the pre-paid toll fee on me without clearly whether one could just pay the toll by cash.
I still don't know whether this daily expense was worth while.

Had a wonderful experience with my car rental in Puerto Rico. The driving directions were helpful in navigating the roads in and out of Condado. the gentleman in the office was courteous and efficient.
I wasted many of my car rental years at the big named rental agencies when i could have just as easily rented from Charlie Car Rental. The quoted price was 60% less and just as good if not better service. Charlie Car Rental is the best in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Charlie Car is not the cheapest but they offer excellent valise. What they say is what they do. I have rented from them many times and have never had a problem. I also like that they are a local (PR) company and not a large chain. I recommend Charlie';s to my friends who go to PR.

The staff was incredibly helpful, but the company resources are horrific. The paperwork it takes to get a car here is like signing a mortgage. And it took almost an hour for the credit card machine to work. Have you guys ever heard of online payment systems for crying out loud. Overall it took almost two hours to get the car. For that, I will most likely pay more and go with another rental company. Two hours of my vacation time were just wasted.
Renting from Charlie Car Rental was easy and affordable. The staff was very friendly. Will definitely do it again!
