We've been renting from Charlie since 2001, although it has not always been the best rate. Service has declined in recent years. Our last rental was extremely disappointing; it took over an hour to be given the keys to a car we had already reserved. We attempted to give the rep. our paperwork and he said it was not needed, but tried to give us a subcompact when we reserved a midsize and argued that we had indeed reserved a subcompact. The car was filthy. Sadly, we will no longer be renting here.

rented a car claims for 5 dollars more a day I would received a better car, not true, the car I received was in bad shape it trembled and the wheel kept going to the side every time I drove. I called and complaint the next day, they said they will call me back when a car was available, no calls what so ever.
Charlie Car Rental is very convenient. It's so much better than having to drive back out to the airport to rent a car for a day or two. The prices are very reasonable, and the customer reps are very helpful and friendly. I have rented from this location three times now, and I have been completely satisfied each time.
I would recommend this agency as long as I'm helped by a different staff person.
The person who greeted us and set us up with our vehicle was pushy in explaining the insurance and additional amenities we could purchase, and did not want to take no for an answer.
Vehicle was good. Toward the end of our trip, the tire indicator came ON and I had no way to check tire pressure along the way. When we picked up the car and when we returned the car, the staff was overwhelmed with the number of customers at the San Juan office. This did not affect us much because we allowed for delays in our plan, but two other customers that were taken to the airport with us, feared that they may miss their flight.
On my way to the airport on Saturday, October 3rd, I learned that Charlie has had a Frequent Rental Program since March 2015. I don't recall being offered the opportunity to sign-up for the program. My rental dates were as follows:
May 11-15, 2015 and September 26-October 3, 2015.
I request to be enrolled in the frequent renter program and credited with my rental since you've started the program. I can provide proof if required.
