The 1st car rented developed a check engine light. We were made to leave the agency and fill the tank before it could be returned. They gave us a complimentary upgrade to the next level vehicle. That one developed a "check tire pressure" message when we were way out of town. We called and were told, "Put some air in the tires". We had to pay for air and there was no pressure gauge at the air pump and no indication whether it was working. The agency failed to take care of us.
Initial vehicle wasn't in complete working order, but the team at Charlie quickly switched it out for a fully-functioning vehicle. Thanks!!
Overall it was a pleasant experience. I have rented from Charlie Car Rental many times.
Waited in line for 45 minutes to rent the car; was charged a $250 deposit - I've never had to pay a deposit for any car rental in my life. My deposit has yet to be returned. I plan on coming back to PR - I won't be renting from Charlie Car again.
