We had a bumpy start no one answered when we called from the airport, but we managed to flag down a passing shuttle, the staff member who issued our rental was rather surly and uninformative. However we were impressed that the owners manual was still in the car, the phone was answered promptly when we had a question a few days later, and the drop-off person was very generous in arranging for our cruise transfer even though it was for the next day, So a strong end!

The only problem I see so far is that they charge you a $250 deposit. Otherwise, I would recommend it 100%

The service was great. I have been renting with Charlie for 3 years and they always have worked with me and my family. I always recommend them to all my friends and they also are very please with the service. They are very helpful and they look for the best interest of the customer. I have rented from other car rentals and I have compared the prices and services with Charlie, no doubt charlie is the best in Aguadilla.

The car given to us had low pressure tire. We came back the next day and they filled the air. on the 3rd day, the tire was almost flat and we were miles away from renting place. We purchased a fix-it can and put some air to hold until we get back to the city. We explained the problem and they gave us another similar car - even refunded the cost of the fix-it can and our fill of air expense. We were satisfied with the service. Shuttle service very convenient from/to airport.

The agent at Condado where I picked up the car was very nice and the service was prompt. However, the service at the Isla Verde location was terrible. I waited 30 min just to return the car. My first car wouldn't make it up any hills and I was forced to exchange it & the service agent was rude. The second car stalled out on our return trip. I wasted at least half a day out of my 1 1/2 day stay just dealing with Charlie's. They only credited me a small amount back, very disappointed.

My suggestion is that Charlies have a pro-rata system for extra time/day. My flight home was at 5pm, and I rented at 12:50 pm, and asked if I could return at 3pm, instead of 1pm. They said they have a 1 hour grace period, and gave me until 2pm to return, or else it would be an extra $30 for another day. I thought they could have been flexible, or offered to prorate and I considered renting from another company b/c of this. But we rented and returned in the window and sat at airport longer.
