From customer service to driving the vehicle was great.
We have been using empire rent a car @ 1985 Bruckner Blvd. many times when we needed a 12 passenger van to take my family on weekends outing

At first things started ok with the reservation person. I think her name is Maria. But she did not communicate key information and I didn't know this until I called to ensure there's no hiccups the day of pick up. I got Gloria when I called and she was very informative. She told me about the insurance policy along with the added amount that needs to be deposited differently from the initial holding amount. Then,Gloria took charge and the rest is history. She even gave us a ride to a restaurant.
The vehicle was fine. The cleanliness of the vehicle was subpar.

Empire exceeded my expectations with my recent rental. I requested the 15pas van with luggage space and was taken by surprise at how new and clean the truck was. I got there late to check in and my reservation was prepped and ready to go. They walked me around the rental to make sure any damage or issues were identified and made me even more comfortable knowing everything was documented. Ray and Eugene were awesome to work with. Will definitely return and recommend to others.

My van wasn’t there. I was told that my van would be there and when I got there, I was told they only had the smaller van. They also lied and said they called me to tell me before I arrived. I specifically told the person that booked my appointment that the small van wouldn’t be adequate. They tried to get me to rent the van I didn’t want or need. I left. I will never use this company again and I will make sure I never recommend them.
Good experience with Empire, wish there was a closer location to Williamsburg but would rent from them again
