Horrible operation
Horrible operation.
Rated the vehicle itself as bad. We were first given (via Sun Diego, your partner) a van with a huge wet area on a seat that stunk of mildew. I had to drive back to the rental agency on the 12th to pick up a different van that was in much better condition.
That said, it seemed like an out of the ordinary event, and everyone was very apologetic/courteous to help me get the situation resolved and get the clean van, so I would certainly use the service again if I need a van in San Diego again.
Waited over a month to get a refund. Got our rental send to another company and paid that company even more than expected. Called over 20 times and when they answered they had no idea where my refund process was at and no clue that they told it was 3-5 business days, which never happened.
EZ van had this rental go through Nucar rental and it was a nightmare. Upon landing at airport these people did not answer their phones so we had no idea where/how to get the van from. We had to take two shuttles to get to the rental place leaving five in our party at the airport for a total of three hours. When we finally got to the rental place the staff there were horrible/scammy and sloth like slow and really had a “I don’t give a shit attitude.” Worst experience ever renting a vehicle
Horrible place they don’t answer any phone calls and they quote you a different price and charge you a different amount very expensive insurance $200 a day need to resolve with credit card company

The staff was very kind and helpful. The van was not what I was expecting. It was a little rundown and the back passenger door caused problems the whole trip. It couldn’t be opened from the inside and it took several tries at just the right angle to get it closed every time it was opened.
SD Rent a car staff were great! Ryan was very clear and informed me of all ways to handle my rental and return.
