The below expectation for knowledgeable staff was because we collected the vehichle from a hotel from the valet staff
Vehicle was difficult to start each time we tried , outlet didn't work for plug, car needed to be jumped on day 1 because battery was dead,no fluid for windshield, note states on windshield that service was over due. It wasn't the quality car we expected based on the initial details needed for renting. When we called for service, no mechanics were available and no other trucks were available.
Great experience! Wonderful directions and guidance to renting the van. Only trouble we had was when we filled the fan back up with gas, the pump shut off like it was full but the gauge didn't go to full on the van.
We were not supplied with the vehicle we wanted, nor did anyone make us aware that a side access vehicle was not available. Also, no one was interested in looking into our insurance, and it has since been confirmed with AMEX Platinum, that vehicles modified for disability are fully covered with our travel insurance. So now we need to waste all this time trying to get a refund for the US $600 odd spent,1/3 of the hire fee, for insurance that was not required.
This van needs to be taking off the road. The drivers side sliding door would not open, and a trim panel had fallen off when it was picked up. You could see the road from inside the van. This made it a loud uncomfortable ride. The engine had a rough idle and sounded terrible. It had a grinding sound at low speeds. The wheelchair ramp would not open occasionally.
We had no choice but to take it because my disabled son had a doctor's appointment in Gainesville that we couldn't miss.
Very Poor directions to the Parking Lot and no direction for the return trip. Over priced and not able to cancel without expense.
We had to wait 45 minutes to be picked up at the airport. Your information says you are 1 mile from the airport but it takes 15 minutes to travel to your lot????? The drivers seat would not adjust and I had to prop a backpack behind me to be able to sit up straight instead of at a reclining position to drive. That was very uncomfortable.
I was concerned initially that we didn't actually have anyone greeting us but the van was easy to pick up and deliver back. The shuttle service was great too. The van was older but clean. We have be customers of FVR for many years and will continue to do so. Thank You!
