There were mostly minor issues like: because we never rented a wheelchair van before it took a couple of days to figure things out; the remote was disabled so we had to go to the driver's door, unlock, reach inside and unlock all doors before going around to open the back hatch for entry and exit; the left footrest of the wheelchair would drop on occasion.
The workers were great. My first car worked for one day and the door on the drivers side would not close, the second car was a mess it had wires hanging at the bottom of the doors and thank God we made it to the drop off because if we stayed one more day. The door with ramp would not close. I did call and requested another van but was told I would need to bring it into the office. I was on vacation I did not find the need to work.
Poor customer service and extremely poor inventory. Broken vehicles were provided with no compensation or resolution provided. When asked about replacing the broken vehicles with functional vehicles, was told there nothing they could do to fix the situation. I have never been this disappointed with any type of rental until now.
The van was really worn down, and had scratches/markings on the outside. The inside trim was falling apart, and the vents were not staying open. One of them had a rattling noise as we were stopping.
Air conditioner didn't work. No instructions on how to use the Braun lift (I have a VMI at home). Airport shuttle didn't send accessible van until 3rd try.
Florida van rentals was easy to work with and responded quickly to questions
The door on the Mini bus did not close very well. It was a bit concerning when on the highway. We only traveled from Disney Springs to the convention center and one trip back to the airport so not a big deal but definitely a bit of a concern. I also did not know how to operate any of the advanced operations on the bus (did not need to use, but didnt know if I was doing anything wrong)
Marilyn was helpful but we found challenges around car insurance.
