Did not get the vehicle I requested. Pick up location is not as described. The agency provide a shuttle to pick one up at the airport. First phone call to the 1-800- number never got answered, left voice mail. Waited another 15 minutes to place call again to be told to wait another 15 or 20 minutes. Then I have to transfer all my baggage, family and car seats to the shuttle van to be transported to the rental van. Upon arrival at the agency, my requested van is not available.
Stop looking. If you want a headache free rental, Globe Car Rental is by far the best and the cheapest (saved $120 from the cheapest price on Expedia). I got picked up within 10 minutes from my call @ the airport. Shuttle itself was clean & driver was courteous. Their branch is along the way into town and on major highway to everything, so no loss of time travelling. Got a Free GPS & the vehicle was a 2013! I was explained the contract and was out in 15 minutes. Return process: Excellent!
To my knowledge, this is the only agency that takes their entire fee before a customer's rental car leaves the premises. As we rent for 6 weeks every summer, paying the tab up front is a bit of a shock...and unfair.
In terms of staffing, the following problems occured:
1. The car was missing its antennae. On the phone staff insisted it was 'lost' during my possesion of the car.
2. Staff tried to charge me extra km because they split the 6 week contract in two.
