The people were great, but when I rented I was promised a larger vehicle than I received.

Thank you, we have researched your details with the view of a corrective opportunity for our team as we take our service-delivery to our customers as priority. What we discovered is that there are none to correct as this customer never collected their car. So we are at a lost to understand the misleading comment : "larger than received!".
The Facts For Our Valued Customers: We received this BOOKING REQUEST 1 day before this customer was due to arrive for a Compact Car. The Customer was immediately called and advised that due to the agency running at 99% capacity as the Island was very busy with vacationers, we were unable to accommodate their BOOKING REQUEST for a compact car but that we can get them confirmed in an Economy Car. The customer AGREED to this change. A RESERVATION was raised and a CONFIRMATION number forwarded to this customer. The next day they did not show up for the car. Our agency called them and was advised by them that their flight got cancelled and if we could hold the car for the next day same time. We were closed that day but operated on as needs basis. Our team showed up the next day but once again this customer did not. When we contacted them this time, they said they did not need the car again as they had gotten another one. So, how we receive the one-liner misleading statement above, we are unsure. What we are sure of is this: many will spin great yarns as their truth. The rep who shuttled us from airport and the rep who handled the rental intake was great. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. They suggested great places to eat, groceey shop and visit. The supervisor didn't rub my wife and I too well. Our perception of him appeared to be that of an opportunist to gouge money from customers. He kept stressing about dings and knicks and some customer who tried to repair a banged up rental and return it and if we wouldn't accept their insurance policy.
Great price and vehicle. Highly recommend.
Other than the fact that you must have at least 3rd party protection insurance; this car rental company was excellent. Would definitely rent from them again.

They called a month in advance to make me aware that the car I originally requested would not be available and offered me a similar size car at a lower value. We requested pickup from the airport and the driver was friendly and helpful. He made conversation with us about our plans. During the car inspection, another young man when asked gave us some great places to eat at to try the local food. Service was great.

Our pickup was nearly an hour late, the processing time took forever and we nearly missed our scheduled event. Then the staff refused to drop us back off and we had to take a taxi to the port. This delay made the car rental worthless as we barely had any time to use the car. Will not recommend.

Transparency to our loyal customers: This customer and their party were cruiseship guests (in Port for a few scheduled hours). they reserved two rental cars for the day.
On the rental morning, we phoned a few times for the scheduled pick-up and no one answered those calls. When we did connect, we picked-up at the new times. While the two rentals left our agency that morning at the same time after processing, they returned at two different times later the same day. Our counter team asked the first renter if they would like to wait until the next group in the other rental arrive back at the agency so that all can be taken back to the port area at the same time. The first renter said no and that they would take a taxi back to the cruiseport. We took the customers in the second rental (from the group) back to the port. We believe in honesty and transparency and we shall let our customers understand context and details as they are important. Thank you for your visit.
Was told I would be picked up @1:30. I waited till 2:30 and called several times. They mentioned being busy; that does not justify me sitting there on vacation & waiting. More appropriate would be to reach out BEFORE 1:30 and let me know they are running late. Also when I dropped the car off I waited and waited; then I came back out to see the person was cleaning the car while I waited to be dropped off at the airport. Customer service is not good.

We take responsibility for our delay on that day as that was the truth and we sincerely apologize as we did that day. We work hard at meeting our schedule on the ideal days.
Now the facts: This customer contacted for a rental car whilst already on-island. We advised we were running at near 100% capacity as the Island is very busy. However, we worked hard to secure this customer their rental and scheduled a pick-up at their local condo for the afternoon. The agency and our courtesy shuttle service had an extra-ordinary series of events that caused a delay in our shuttle pick-up times. WE CALLED THIS CUSTOMER at the originally scheduled pick-uptime to advise we were running 25 - 30 minutes delayed. At around 35 minutes our shuttle team called the customer to advise we were on our way to collect them. By the time the shuttle arrived at the condo it was about 1 hour past the scheduled time. However, the TRUTH is we did communicate at the original scheduled time our delay as mentioned above. Again, we profusely apologized as we did that day.
As to the closing comment: We are unclear what is being said here. The vendors from the car wash at the back of our facility are private and is not a direct part of our company's team. Again, we are uncertain what happened or why you were there.
We hope you enjoyed your vacation in the Cayman Islands and we are happy we were able to get you and your friends in a rental, at the 24th hour, for 4 days.
