They lied on their original quote and once arrived to their location they change additional charges and fees that not originally mentioned
I was picked up after the office closed and the shuttle driver tried to charge me a $2,000 deposit which was never disclosed beforehand, the driver spoke broken English and acted as if he didn’t understand us at times. He told us he if we didn’t pay the money we would be without a car. Then he jumped back in his shuttle bus drove away leaving us standing on the curb. I’ve never had such poor service in my life. We came here to help out with the hurricane relief and this is what we got.
Dishonest company, from not being able to use my toll transponder to maintaining minimum $500,000 car insurance coverage from preferred companies, to having to drive a smaller car than I rented online. All of it should have been disclosed before rental. I will never rent from HDC again and I have made my feeling known on social media
HDC is a straight up scam. Tried to get in touch with them to inquiry about picking up the car a day early. Called the number on the reservation. They picked up twice and literally stayed silent. Then I got a random text saying “how can we help” when I called I had to explain three times what I wanted to do. They said “we’ll give you the price when you get here, we won’t give you a price over the phone” big red flag. Then I jumped in Google and found tons of bad reviews. Cancelled ri
The price I was charged was double what I was quoted. The car I rented was overdue for an oil change and has a slow leak in one of the tires. Also, I was forced to purchase insurance when my company covered rentals which was not told to me at quote. My flight was at 530 am on Sunday and I was never told that the shuttle to the airport didn't start until 9 am so I had to pay for an Uber to the airport. I feel this company misrepresented themselves and will never use them again.
As a business owner I was appalled at the rude people. I know we were not alone in our thoughts as there were people talking to us both coming and going that were very disappointed
Lack of clarity when booking, hidden fees and additional insurance requirements. We waited almost an hour on a shuttle pick up.

Charged for one way fee which wasn’t on my original reservation. Forced into buying insurance. Crooked rental car agency with rude professionals.
Not getting the requested vehicle wasn't good. But we good a good replacement..it was not in total readiness for rent but the staff did his best and was patient...
