The company knew that we were arriving after midnight, but never bothered to inform us that they close at 10 PM, so we had to pay $65 for a taxi to take us, and then had to find another rental company the next day that would pick us up and take us to the agency. Plus, your office is in Miami and we flew into Ft. Lauderdale. It was just a bad experience that could have been avoided had you provided more information.
I was sold a HORRIBLE LIE! Your website allowed me to rent a car for an after hours pickup. I paid for an Uber that dropped me off at 11P who would not allow me to return to the airport. I waited for over 30 minutes in the dark and as a female how unsafe that was for anyone at that hour. You took my money and I had no vehicle. Worst yet, you survey me? I want to go to the Better Business Bureau or CBS news. Either return my money or allow me to still use the rental. I still am stuck!
I ended up making close to $110.00 more than expected. Furthermore, the car was in very poor condition. The manager Roberto was a nice guy, but I did not feel like my business was appreciated. The other manager (don't remember his name) when ever I called he was pass the call over to Roberto, without knowing why I called. HDC was an overall very negative experience.
I felt HDC had the highest rate for unlimited toll pass and the highest rate for liability insurance. I felt like I was taken to the cleaners with this company. I was given a 2 days rate for $55.00 via (carrentals.com) and after all the hidden fees, I ended up paying close to $180.00. I would not use them again, nor do I recommend them. I went elsewhere and rented the same car for 3 days, and paid significantly less.

WORST. EXPERIENCE. DO. NOT. RENT!!! Online RESERVATION quoted for $56. Got there, and was then told it was $175. The man would not honor it and stated i HAD to use their insurance even when the website said I didn’t have to. This sketchy place isn’t even at the airport by the way. I refused to pay and requested to be taken back to the airport where the guy drove like a SPEED RACER to skurt up to the airport. They try to finesse. Also for reference, this was in Miami, FL.
A week before trip I did ask HDC about info how to find the pick up location and informed about my arrival time. I got no reply. When I arrived HDC office was closed. I did not rent car finally. And I do not reccomend HDC service.
The original quote I have on paper from your website was 140.99 TOTAL, When I arrived they quoted over $400. Then ended up charging $326.54. after having to negotiate. They also forced me to take insurance when I had proof of my own. Please reimburse me the difference of 185.55. Terrible experience, being lied to and cheated. Jamie 440-552-1259
The vehicle had bad brakes . The price that I was expecting that I booked online was not granted . We even had to vacuum the car ourselves before returning . They made us purchase their insurance even though we had plenty of coverage on our policy .
