Renting a car from Leisure is the way to go on St. Martin. The agency demonstrated excellent customer service when it promptly sent someone out to change a tire discovered leaking we stopped for lunch in Marigot. He competed the fix by the time we paid our tab! Here's one hint: cars are sent out with less than a full tank. Take a photo of what you get, so you can verify returning the same at the drop-off.

The rearview mirror in the first car we were given was so dark that we couldn't see cars behind us. Leisure was prompt to offer us another vehicle with no hassle.
This rental agency is not suitable for those on yachts in Simpson Bay and marinas. There is no dinghy access and It costs $20 each way for pickup/drop off to the main road in Simpson Bay even though its less than a mile away. The fact that the staff are pleasant with nice cars is marred by these points.
The staff made the rental process very easy and efficient. Price seemed very reasonable.
