A small problem was the phone connection to MAXX car from Viscount Station as we arrived because no phone number on the free phone at Viscount Station and at this time we did not have any Canadian phone. Another Company called MEXX helped us, many thanks for that.
We rented a 12 passenger van from Maxx. The pickup was smooth, however the tire pressure alarm went on after 30 mins I to the drive. After reading the owner manual and the tire pressure labels on the door, we found out that both the rear tires were 20 lbs under pressure. It could have caused a blow up on the highway and the van could loss control. When we returned the van, the agent didn't seem to know the pressure requirement. We would expect the agent to ensure the van is in safe condition!

They LEFT thier dirty vacuum at the back of the van taking away space for our luggage. They did not EXPLAIN that the meter in the odometer is in MILES when they gave us a limit usage e in KILOMETER. WE have to pay EXTRA because we thought the car's odometer were in KILOMETER
The car has a lot of scratches . The LAST seat HEADREST is NOT WORKING properly.
The TIRE "low pressure" we lit when they gave us the van. We have to add "air"

I had a miserable experience with Maxx Car Rental and in fact have just sent them a Complaint Notice. The vehicle was in terrible shape, poor smell, stained seats and ceiling, non-operational A/C vents, broken front Grille, various other bumps and nicks, plus a window crack. But worst of all... the high beams did not operate and throughout the trip I received a Tire Sensor Pressure Fault. This was the BEST van they had available. They did not allow ,me to cancel the reservation.
They do not care what customer need and they are not willing to help customer
GOOD PART: The staff were courteous and very accomodating, which I greatly appreciated. I was even able to communicate with them outside of office hours (on a Sunday) when I really needed them.
THE NOT-SO-GOOD PART: The van itself was in terrible shape and in dire need of maintenance. The interior upholstery wasn't too clean, it had moderate alignment problems, and the brakes were shot. The van was barely roadworthy. For the price I paid, it wasn't really worth it.
