They close at 5pm and this was not even indicated anywhere and no one answered our calls we were stranded at the airport and opted to pick another car from a different agency

Pick up took more than 45min. There were 2 agent for pickup, both agent was not helpful at all. They don't have the enough knowledge about system. There were 2 agent for return time
, both of them was excellent and above and beyond.
They were polite and accomodating.

The staff was particularly unfriendly at times and because I was unaware of the add-on rates I almost had to go with another rental agency. But the car was very nice and once I left the office I experienced no problems. Would probably rent again since I now know to bring my insurance card, not just policy information.

I rented a minivan from Routes in west Toronto through kayak.ca. When I arrived on Friday morning to pick it up, it was not at the rental office. I was told that it was being brought from their other location 15 kilometers south. After 45 minutes of waiting, I was told it was being cleaned. I finally took a brand new Nissan Pathfinder at a much reduced price. I had wanted to drive the min-van because I am thinking of buying one. All in all, a terrible experience.

Our records indicate your reservation was for 9:00am and the actual checkout time was approx 9:20pm. Nissan Pathfinder is a premium SUV and threfore considered a upgrade.
We really liked the fact that we could rent a super budget car. It was apparent that it was an older vehicle (>40,000km) which tells me that they maintain a cheaper clear and therefore able to pass along the savings to their customers. We are not concerned with image and aesthetics as much as we are having a reliable car. Nothing wrong with a few more Km to achieve this. Awesome

Almost all of our units are currrent year models except a few, which are also being disposed off. So therefore next time you will be getting a new one.
