Rugged Rentals is how every car rental place should work. The staff are kind and prompt. They don't try to upsell you on anything, no tricks about pre-paid gas refills, etc. The pricing is "fair"; you can get a cheaper rental from the national brands, but it will NOT match Rugged's reliability and service. Best of all, renting a 4WD vehicle from Rugged guarantees it will be 4WD, something NOT certain with the national brands. Icing on the cake, their vehicles have top-of-the-line trim packages!
great rental experience
Rugged Rental was recommended to me by a friend who uses them when he travels to SLC area. They were great. I initially made a reservation for a vehicle and decided it was a bit more than I needed. When I called them, they quickly found me an appropriate car for what I needed (to get to ski areas) and saved me $200. But, when I picked up the car, they gave me the better vehicle that I'd initially reserved for the same price. Great service and very nice staff. Will def use again!
Excellent rental experience. Rates are much better than at airport, but there is no office at the airport and hours are limited. Car was all wheel drive which was not guaranteed by other agencies. Service is excellent and with a smile. Will definitely rent from this agency again.

This was my first time to ever rent a vehicle and it could not have gone more smoothly. I reserved it online. Called when I got my luggage and they picked us up in about 10 minutes. Return was just as easy. I’ve already recommended them to some friends going that way.
