Rugged Rental are the best - just wish they’d roll out into other states so we could use them instead of the big, impersonal brands, who don’t tailor their rentals to the conditions we’re likely to face driving in the mountains.

I noticed that $500 deposit was actually charged (not just hold) on my backing account and then refunded. I recommend to review that with your financial institution to find a way by placing deposits "on hold" without processing them if not needed.
Pick up process was inefficient from getting the shuttle at airport to forms and admin stuff at the office. Truck had different tires that caused occasional slipping /wheel spin. Tires need to be rotated so back tires are matching.
The employees were great—friendly and helpful. The car worked well in the mountains. One suggestion: The air freshener scent in the vehicle was reminiscent of the air freshener used in porta pots. I suggest changing the scent!

I had a great experience renting through Rugged Rental. When I filled out the rental request form, I had selected agency choice for my vehicle but requested AWD. When I picked up my vehicle, I received a 2024 Grand Jeep Cherokee. It was definitely worth the rental price. The staff was all super nice and the pick up/drop off at the airport could not have been easier.

I’ve rented from Rugged multiple times before. This vehicle had trash inside it. It was covered in snow that I had to remove. It was not full of gas. Because the windshield was covered in snow, I could not identify a chip in the windshield. I explained on the return and luckily the previous renter had noted, so I was not charged for the chipped windshield. If the snow had been removed, this would not have been an issue. It was prefer far off site, waited about 30 minutes for our ride to our rental. The driver was courteous. We ordered a truck with a cover because we had luggage and ski gear. We were told there were no longer covered trucks which was a big problem for us. The truck in general had poor windshield wipers which wasn’t good for mountain travel. Returning the truck was fine, van droppped us off at the off site rental car. I’m not sure if there is a reason you can’t be dropped off at your
