I was thrilled to find Rugged Rental online when I was searching for a 4 wheel drive vehicle for our winter vacation. Prices were unbelievably cheaper than any airport rental & off airport rental company. I've already recommended Rugged Rental to family members planning their next Utah vacation.
My low rating was due to the fact that staff did not explicitly describe where the pick up location was located over the phone when I called after picking up my luggage. I called and was told to go to the "off site pick up", not the off-site pick labeled for rugged. She did not mention that we needed to cross the sky. So my family waited a long time with 1-year old in the cold. I called three times before staff texted the written instructions. They should have a rule to text always.

I plan on renting from Rugged for every trip to SLC. The staff was awesome and the pickup and return went very smoothly and quickly. I also picked up and dropped off after hours and was very impressed by everything! Great company delivering real value!
We arrived for a week of skiing with two other couples. They booked rentals at the airport and had horrible experiences. Our shuttle was there by the time we got to the pick up area and our car was ready to go when we got to the rental location… about 10 mins away. Return was just as simple even though it was New Years Day. Shuttle took us directly to flight check in entry…. Service was great every step of the way… highly recommended
Had a screw in one of the tires. The staff quickly arranged another vehicle. Friendly & courteous office staff.

Excellent experience. Would rent from Rugged Rentals again. Only minor complaint was our jeep had a crack in the windshield. This was noted at checkin. My concern was that it could have gotten potentially worse during the week. No issues, everything worked out fine. Sunday drop off and shuttle to the airport at the offsite lot also went very well.
Great communications, definitely a great experience
Everything was good, only problems we had were with the ski racks and tires. They weren't set for skis, so we had to adjust them. Normally not an issue, but it was snowing heavily and we weren't initially sure we could adjust them. The staff should have checked the racks for skis before it was lent out. The racks were mis-matched too. Also, the car didn't have snow tires, only all season. Should have snow tires. Finally, the car doesn't drive as well as other Jeeps.
