The car I was given had transmission issue when accelerating. I had to drive out to Palm Desert so as a solo woman that made me nervous there might be an issue on my trip. Did not have confidence in the car. Almost brought it back but was too far to return. Pricing was good and staff was friendly and courteous

The staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They went out of their way to be helpful. The pick up and drop off at the airport were both smooth and quick. The drivers who picked us up and dropped us off were friendly and helpful. The person who checked us out provided us with a map and helpful information as to which way would be better with the current traffic. I'm so glad that we went with United Auto Rental instead of choosing a big chain.

Overall had a pretty good experience. Pick up went well, car functioned fine and was what we requested, staff great. Downsides- car was dirty, few things were broken in the car (USB port), and my return time was when they were closed even though they were listed as open. Also they didn't have a protocol for how to return a car when closed or not answering phone, so this would have been helpful.

I made two car reservations for my vacation in May 2017, but cancelled one before the trip. Two days before my trip, I received a confirmation e-mail that I still had one reservation along with instructions on who to call when I arrived. Upon calling, the United agent informed me that both my reservations were cancelled and insisted I had done this (despite me telling him I still had a reservation). He ultimately found me a car, but we had already rented with someone else. Fix your system!
