A Ford 12 passenger was substituted for the Chevy Express 12 passenger that was shown on the rental order. Yes it seats 12 but it is an inferior design in terms of cargo space and seat removal (which was important to us).
Van was a Dodge caravan instead of a Kia sedona as quoted but it worked out just as well. We did have to wait over an hour to get the vehicle when there was only 1 person ahead of us. And for the delay they said we'd get a 10% discount but it wasn't entered in the computer so agent that received van back in could not give discount. Still trying to get in touch with GM to inquire about discount but left 2 messages with no call back.
AVR was by far the best deal out there for renting a van. We have now rented from AVR-Ontario twice and will continue to do so in the future.
Nice team, awesome new van to drive, but return was a bit slow (due to another picky customer haggling). Could have maybe had someone else help out as the line was getting a bit long.
Great experience with the San Jose staff.
We initially received a much older van with door lining falling off and handles that were close to broken.
Then I had an unfortunate incident of not being able to disengage the manual brake. It would have been better to have basic instruction manual in the car. Notwithstanding, the manager went out of his way to help us and provided us a replacement Van in the morning before our drive. Our family was extremely happy with the overall experience
A/c only worked, when driving down freeway (108 degrees). Vehical dented up terribly, looked awful. Wire from spring in seat, cut my daughters leg.
