dirty car, musky smell, and waited over an hour to get a car
I was disappointed that our van was not ready when we came in at our reservation time and had to pay for an upgrade since we were on a tight schedule.
I was able to get a van but not without a hassle! I was informed that AVR had overbooked & vans wouldn't be available at 9am when my reservation was set for. Luckily I landed in Denver with just enough time the night before to walk into the office and demand a van. The staff told me it had been like this for the past 4 days & many customers did not get the van they reserved & I should consider myself lucky! The van itself had a warper rotor so any breaking made the van shake unsafely!!
I was given a better rate than my original online booking, however, my agent automatically added insurance on the van without giving me the option to approve or deny as I have my own full covered insurance, which made the total price of the van almost equal to my original booking. The van I was given was a bit older with 110K miles, I expected a little more for the price. Customer service was good and they were good about extending the van for an extra day.
Excellent customer service. Just took a little too long to drive away from the lot -- tire jack fastener not available and the customer rep had to secure tire jack with bungee cord.

The staff at AVR in Costa Mesa/ Santa Ana airport, are the absolute best !!
