Made two bookings in error, canceled one. But when we called to double check both bookings were cancelled. Unlimited km is available, so it might not be as cheap as you think. Also no cars were available when we called, but when we checked online there were. Very strange!
Zoom rental cars have the most confusing paperwork I have ever seen. The email confirmation says "unlimited mileage" but then goes on to give two different limits - 3400kms and 3000kms. You cannot say unlimited and then give a limit. We were also mislead with the contract we signed. Our copy said "up to 3600kms but the people at the office changed their copy (written over the number by hand) So when we arrived back, we discovered the limit was 3000kms. I feel very mislead.
I was overall very pleased with the service. The attendends were very friendly And prompt.
My flight arrived at 9pm exactly so it took me a few minutes to get out of the plane and call for my pickup. I have used the service before and forgot that I had made special arrangements for pickup after 9pm; it would make sense to notify people that if their flight comes in later than 8pm they should make special arrangements. However, a young man was still at the office when I called and he agreed to wait for me to come by taxi; he had my car and paperwork ready so all worked out very well.
I travel frequently and rent cars from many companies across North and Central America. Zoom Rent a Car is excellent value for clean, new rentals particularly in the mid size SUV and Sedan commuter class.
I have rented from Zoom now 3 different times and each time the staff are polite, patient and courteous. Keep up the great work!
