Before car rental pickup, you will have to go through Orlando International Airport. After getting off the plane, take advantage of Orlando International array of public transportation options, to get to and from their terminals.
Out of town shuttle buses are broken down by zones. For instance, Service Zone 1 travels northeast, hitting Daytona Beach, Flagler, Palm Coast, Baldwin, Deland and Jacksonville, among others. There are four zones that can be located on the Ground Transportation Level at both Terminals A and B. Each zone has a direct contact number to get information about scheduling and destination specifics. But we still recommend that you look for the cheapest car rental to have a more convenient mode of transport.
There are also shuttle buses that go to airport hotels, downtown Orlando, Kissimmee and Walt Disney World. Costs can range per person, one way between $14 and $36. Many of the area hotels provide courtesy shuttles between their locations and the airport. They are located in commercial lane spaces between B42 and B47 on the Ground Transportation Level.

There are taxi and luxury car stands on Level 1. The city regulations allow taxis to carry multiple passengers, charging each the same rate. All taxicabs that pick up at the airport must be metered. Flat rates are not allowed.
Finally, Orlando International has access to great cheap car rentals. Many agencies that we feature are located near the airport, with only a short pickup time. It may very well be the best way to get to and from the airport, and to travel throughout Orlando. For a sound per day rate, forget waiting for buses and paying taxi fees, and get to where you need to be at your own pace, taking in the sites along the way.

Situated six nautical miles southeast of Orlando, the Orlando International Airport ( MCO) stands as the second busiest airport in Florida, the 13th busiest in the United States and the 29th busiest in the world. Formerly called McCoy Air force Base, after Colonel McCoy, the airport served as a strategic air command during the Vietnam War. Commercial airline services started during the sixties. MCO is the closest commercial airport to Orlando’s popular attractions.
