Missouri - Home to the St. Louis Cardinals

With an estimated population of nearly 6,000,000 people, Missouri is the 18th most populous state in the US. Missouri has a humid continental climate characterized by hot and humid summers and cold winters. The largest cities of this midwestern state are Kansas City, St. Louis, Springfield, Independence and Columbia. Missouri is home to the University of Missouri in Columbia, the University of Missouri-Kansas City, the Missouri University of Science and Technology and Truman State University. Finally, Missouri is home base to the St. Louis Cardinals, the St. Louis Rams and the Missouri Mavericks.
